Fabulous Yet Understated Fashion: Meghan Markle’s Footwear Style
Following in the footsteps of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, Meghan Markle is becoming a go-to source for classic elegance and fabulous fashion sense. Her style is understated - clean, elegant, and classic, yet chic, current, and Vogue-worthy. We at Cobbler Concierge adore her style. Over the past year – during her engagement, wedding and newlywed appearances with Prince Harry – we feel as though we have been truly treated to the ensembles she has worn so well. Let’s take a peek at some of the fabulous footwear fashions she has worn to complete her overall look these past months.
Sarah Flint’s Perfect Pump 100 in black leather is the perfect staple to every woman’s wardrobe. Whether a night on the town, the office or a special occasion with a great LBD, these pumps are the basic that should be in every woman’s shoe closet.
Paul Andrew Pump-It Up Suede Heels $640
If it’s a suede pump you are considering, we’ve been eyeing Paul Andrew’s black suede Pump-It Up version. Markle’s selection is from their pre-spring 2019 collection and will be available in winter.
Meghan is often spotted in blush or soft pink heels, a delicate option that works with many of her dress and suit choices. She wore Tamara Mellon’s ‘Siren’ leather pumps in blush, as well as Manolo Blahnik’s ‘BB’ pointy toe pumps in beige suede. They hugged her feet in what was perfect luxurious comfort. The color is one that will work all year long and with an array of colors in your closet.
One of our favorite footwear choices Meghan made this past year was a rich velvet stiletto from Jimmy Choo. His Romy 100 in a burnt rust called oxid caught our eye and we haven’t been able to forget them…She paired them with all muted tones in a skirt, blouse and overcoat, allowing the shoes to take center stage.
Though Meghan’s taste for pumps is evident, she has been out and about in some of the season’s most stylish ballerina flats. Chanel’s black leather cap toe version goes with just about everything. For a little playful footwear fashion, she chose Charlotte Olympia’s Kitty Embroidered velvet slippers.
With autumn just around the corner, boots will be on most everyone’s mind. Whether over the knee or ankle height booties, Meghan wore them so very well. She’s quite partial to Stuart Weitzman, a choice we love. Wetizman’s suede Highland boots in nutmeg (we love nutmeg!) looked fantastic on her as did the Axiom ankle sock booties. The latter will look great with jeans, a skirt or anything else you choose for the day.
Whether Markle chooses a sneaker, flat, sandal, boot or signature pump, she looks fantastic. She has a keen sense of how to pair the footwear and accessories with her attire for an ensemble that does more than look good together – it complements her lovely looks and graceful gait. As each day passes, we look forward to seeing her latest fashion choices. We know she will continue to impress.
