Christian Louboutin Ombre Pumps In The Workroom

Our latest installment of In The Workroom explores a pair of ombré pumps. Barely worn, the Christian Louboutin patent peep-toes arrived at the Concierge in need of some minor touch-ups. First up, the cobblers upgraded both heels with new lifts for balance.

Next, the cobblers applied protective rubber soles - a perfect match for Louboutin’s signature slick red. Protecting designer outsoles – whether red, black or beige – is one of the most frequent requests at the Concierge. While delicate leather outsoles are a mark of craftsmanship and box-fresh footwear, they are also more susceptible to the elements. The Concierge offers leather refinishing– to improve existing soles – or leather/ rubber refresh options. For women’s pumps, the cobblers recommend thin rubber to protect and prevent future wear + tear.

Lastly, the cobblers retraced the edge of the outsole with a thin chocolate-colored line to match the original leather trim of the shoe profile. With an acute attention to each detail, the cobblers were able to recreate the look of brand new pumps.
