Repair of the Week: Got Sole?

The winter is tough on city streets, but it’s tougher on your best shoes, for sure. Unless you’re getting around exclusively in snow boots these days, you’ve felt the wear and tear where it hits hardest: your soles. The Concierge is packed full of pretty pumps and dainty stilettos just waiting to be re-released into a suitably warmer environment. This week, we’ve plucked one such pair to refurbish just in time for Valentine’s Day.

When these leopard-print Charlotte Olympia stunners arrived, several staffers started to swoon. That rounded toe! Those skinny heels! And, oh, that statement print! The shoes were not worn beyond repair, but they certainly needed some TLC.

The soles, bruised and dirtied from plenty of city stepping, were in need of protection. After discussing with the customer, the team applied thin black Vibram soles to the original leather, ensuring that the minxy pair would withstand another season in the snow or summer.

Since the material covering the heels was run ragged, the customer opted for a polished black look to enhance and preserve the pumps.
