NYFW's Classiest Shoe Worn 3 Ways
All eyes were on Oscar de la Renta's show at New York Fashion Week. The late designer's new successor Peter Copping unveiled his first collection for the house for fall '15. Copping sent down several heeled options - all perfectly chic, all perfectly on point - but it was a style accented with a gauzy black bow on the heel that took our breath away. It's a statement shoe, of course, but one with elegance and ease. Slip it on and step out in style. Wear it with:
- A pencil skirt: Add a cozy knit and go. On-trend and effortless, the sweater-skirt combo has been a favorite of the fash pack for several seasons now. The footwear often plays second fiddle in this style medley. Give them something to talk about with these high-fashion, highly feminine heels.
- A coat dress: Take a page out of Copping's style guide, and underline a tailored piece of outerwear with a pretty punch. We'd recommend ivory wool or a smart plaid to offset the black pumps.
- Slouchy boyfriend jeans: Give your get-up-and-go denim a twist with the right pair of shoes. Wear with a crisp white shirt, and layers of accessories for preppy appeal or keep it classy in a tank and blazer and light-wash jeans. The black pumps will transform your look from laid-back to luxe.
